This outstanding carpet is the original used as a
pattern for our carpet
M111.
The design is an old traditional pattern. The colors in this carpet
are as fresh as when it was new, the only difference between this
carpet and the new copy is the pile thickness and its 'polished'
look. When made, the design motifs of this carpet were bordered
in black, during the cleaning and finishing process the black pile
was cut back by hand to form a 'valley', giving the design motifs
a three dimensional look. The design, including the black outlines
can of course be seen on the reverse side. |
