This carpet is a copy of our carpet M112, a old traditional
Milas design and was made to order in our village of Comlekci.
The design is quite old and rarely made now. The end fringes
denote that the weaver was an unmarried lady. When made the
individual motifs were bordered in black, during the finishing
the black pile was cut back by hand to create a three dimensional effect
and to make the pattern stand out. This is a very fine quality
medium sized carpet. |
